About Zeynep Nguyen
Born in Tarsus, Turkey, in 1998 and raised in France, Zeynep is a ceramic artist based in Saigon. Since founding her studio in 2022, Atelier de Zeynep, she has developed a practice rooted in mythology, memory, and the expressive possibilities of clay, creating contemporary works shaped by her multicultural background.
Rooted in the ancient city of Tarsus, where the legend of Shahmaran, the Queen of Serpents, has lived for centuries, Zeynep explores the connection between mythology, memory, and material.
Through clay, she creates vessels and sculptural forms that feel both ancient and alive, carrying traces of forgotten stories and timeless narratives.
Inspired by the butterfly’s journey of transformation, this first collection explores themes of evolution, fragility, and beauty. Through delicate forms and organic details, each piece reflects the poetry of nature and the quiet process of becoming.
